​Tan Suz Chiang is a Malaysian watercolor artist renowned for his expressive, abstract landscapes that delve into themes of memory, heritage, and the ephemeral nature of time. Graduating from the Central Academy of Art in Malaysia, he has garnered international acclaim, becoming a Signature Member of both the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society. His accolades include the First Prize from the Northwest Watercolor Society the Winsor & Newton Award from the Royal Watercolour Society. and  “23 Artists Finalist of the First World Watercolor Competition”, France.

Suz Chiang has always tried to break the rules of conventional watercolour painting. He believes that an artist has to constantly improve and challenge himself, to ensure his evolution to a higher level of artistry. 

He redefines watercolor by blending Batik, Chinese ink, and abstract expressionism. His vivid brushwork and deliberate voids invite viewers to co-create, transforming fading memories into vibrant visual narratives.
